Diana’s “Phoenix” Dreadnought

This is the guitar I’m making now for my sister-in-law, Diana. She requested a “big, honkin’ guitar” so I am making her a dreadnought. The back and sides are blackhearted sassafras from Tasmania (so I am told), and the top is sitka spruce with a walnut burl soundhole ring. The bindings will also be walnut as will the neck. The peg head will have a gold mother-of-pearl inlay of a phoenix, thus the “Phoenix” Dreadnought.
