Dreadnought Information
The name “dreadnought” describes a shape and style of guitar developed by the C.F. Martin Company in the early 1900s. Today, the style is favored by bluegrass players who consider a good one to be a “banjo killer.” They typically have large, deep bodies, so they make a lot of sound, and they are great for players who like to do lots of strumming.
